With Christmas rapidly approaching, shopping season is now in full swing. Over the next few days and weeks, an incredible amount of money is going to be spent in the pursuit of happiness. We buy and give, hoping to bring a little happiness to those we love. Unfortunately, sometimes in all of the holiday purchases and pursuits we push away the main thing we all really wish we had more of: peace.

The more stressed and busy we become, the harder it is to find peace. It’s terrible irony that we can easily lose our sense of peace in the pursuit of joy. Maybe we need to place a higher premium on finding, nourishing, and sharing peace. Join us this Sunday at Liberty Hill as I talk about a few simple principles that help us find peace in whatever circumstances we find ourselves in. “Peace in Unexpected Places” is part of our “‘Tis the Season” series, and we believe it will help us keep our souls healthy in what can be a challenging time of the year. Sunday School begins at 9:30 AM, and our worship service begins at 10:30 AM. Come be with us and see if it brings a little more peace into your world!

Grace Received,

Joe Payne
