You and I under the undeniable influence of others. The actions and choices of others have shaped our lives, and have helped us become the people we are today. They have inspired us with their courage or creativity, given us guidance with their examples and their counsel, and even persuaded us to dream and achieve. That’s the good part.

The other part may not be so good. Just as other people have influenced us in a positive way, we have all also at times compromised our character, abandoned our values, or made poor choices all because we gave in to the influence of others. Peer pressure isn’t just something that adolescents endure; it’s a real part of life for all of us regardless of our age.

This Sunday at Liberty Hill I’ll continue our series of “Who I Will Become” by talking about God’s plan for how we are to deal with the influence of others. What other people think or say about us matters deeply, but there is something else that matters even more deeply.  Join us at 10:30 AM as we discuss God’s solution to “What Will the Neighbors Say?”
