Fewer words carry as much meaning to the Christian as do these two little words, “amazing grace.” For us, they contain all that it means to be forgiven, to be renewed, and to forever be captured by the heart of God. I doubt that the hymn Amazing Grace – as beautiful as it – could ever have become so universally known and loved were it not for the truth that it conveys: “I once was lost, but now am found; was blind but now I see.” Grace is the story of God’s rescue of the wayward, ransom of the rebellious, and redemption of the repentant. It is our common story that God has given so much to us who are so undeserving. At Liberty Hill, we’ve been spending the last few weeks focusing on this undeserved favor of God in a sermon series entitled “All By Grace.” The series continues this Sunday as Pastor Phil focuses on this amazing grace that is so commonly accepted, but came at no common price. I hope you can join us Sunday, but even more so, I hope you can join in the spiritual journey of discovering what it is to be in the center of God’s amazing grace!
