If there’s one common experience to the human race, it would be guilt. Putting aside attempts at denial or self-justification, every one of us has experienced the guilt that comes from committing a wrong, or from failing to fulfill an obligation to do right. From the standpoint of being judged by acts of right and wrong, or even from the standpoint of emotional feelings, guilt is something we are all connected to.

But that isn’t what we were created for. The purpose and design of God is for you and I to both experience and express the qualities of “righteousness,” which means that we were created for all of the good and none of the bad! Last Sunday at Liberty Hill I spoke about how God’s plan for our highest good was cast aside by our choice. This Sunday I’ll take the next step in explaining God’s plan for dealing with the consequences of our choices to turn aside from His plan. More than guilt and innocence, the very quality of life is at stake in how we stand before God. I’d love for you to make plans to be with us this Sunday at 10:30 AM as we deal with the subject “Guilty as Charged.”
