The week is coming to a close, and that means we’re getting ready for Sunday at Liberty Hill! Our “Beyond Opinion” series continues this Sunday, which is a series that challenges us to go beyond a quickly-formed opinion and consider what we really believe about some of the vital questions of faith. Sunday, I’ll be tackling the question “How Can I Trust the Bible?” Occasionally we may encounter a skeptic who doubts the accuracy of – or the claims of – the Bible. Are their objections reasonable, and if so, do we have a reasonable answer? While there are specific answers to specific objections, I’d also like you to consider a broader idea for now: if there is a God, doesn’t it at least seem likely that He has something to say to us? If God is wanting to speak to us, then surely He is able to communicate His message. If He has something to say, He will also insure that He gets it said. For me, I believe the Bible is an authoritative means of God speaking to us. There are sound reasons as to why I trust the Bible, and I look forward to sharing them with you this Sunday at 10:30 AM!
