Most people look forward to the weekend, and we’re no exception! We’ve got a great weekend in the works here at Liberty Hill, and we hope you get to be a part of it!
Our Children’s Ministry is involved in two activities on Saturday. Beginning at 10:00 AM, they’ll be helping out at the Dexter PAT Easter Egg Hunt to be held at Dexter West Park. The Egg Hunt will be taking place after the PAT’s 5k run/walk and strollerthon that begins at 8:30 AM. At 3:00 PM, our volunteers will also be helping out at the Bloomfield Community Egg Hunt to be held at the Bloomfield City Park. Both events will be lots of great fun for the family, and we’re excited to be a part of them!
This Sunday morning’s worship service will be very special, and it will even be “lit up blue!” Our Special Needs Coordinator will be explaining to us what it’s all about. This Sunday will be Palm Sunday, and our Children’s Ministry department is planning something special to help get us in the Easter spirit! Additionally, four people are scheduled to be baptized, and we can’t wait to celebrate with them and their families!
This Sunday I’ll be concluding our “Parables of Principle” message series by talking about good people – and how sometimes, being good still leaves us failing! Jesus taught that sometimes being good isn’t enough, but fortunately, He also provides a solution to that problem.
We’re gearing up for a fantastic Easter, and we hope you are too! On Easter Sunday, April 8, we’ll begin a new message series entitled “Beyond Opinion: When Truth Matters More than Opinion.” Pastor Phil will be preaching on why we can trust that Jesus is real, and this message will begin a series that will look into questions about what we really believe, and why we need to rely on more than just opinion on these matters. Make your plans now to be with us on Easter Sunday!
Go make your weekend great with God!
Grace Received, Pastor Joe
